Kadomatsu Class to take place on Dec 29!
Join us for a special Kadomatsu making event. Merle Grybowski organized Temari's first kadomatsu fundraiser in the 1980s, and she will provide the cultural and historical context. Workshop attendees will tie together three angled-cut bamboo stalks, and add shore pine and noshi, a folded paper decoration designed by Morris Umeno. Volunteers will help with rope tying and placement of the pine.
